Exit Button is Not Working
Hi all
I have a Doubt with Exit Course Trigger, whether I use a custom button with the exit course trigger it is working on Chrome, IE Browsers but it is not working on Firefox Browser. I have tried with different methods still it not working on Firefox. Is that a Browser Problem?
If Anyone Know please suggest me. Thank you.
Regards,
Siva G
The easiest way to tell if you are using flash or HTML5 output is to take a look at the last part of the URL in the address bar when viewing your course.
For example, you're viewing the HTML5 output if you see: index_lms_html5.html
If you'd like to share your .story file, we'd be happy to take a look.

Happy to share the story file - what's the best way to do that? - I would prefer not to have it shared in public as it's paid for content.
No worries Angela, the link you shared allowed me to replicate the behavior you are reporting in Firefox and it worked perfectly for me in Chrome.
So, that's enough example for me.
I've shared this with my team and this conversation is attached so that I can pop in and share any updates with you here.

Hi all,
I'm having the same issues with firefox. Is there any solution yet?
Thank you!
Hello Yeliz. I'm seeing the same thing in latest versions of Firefox and Chrome for Windows. I'll check in with my team to see where we are with this issue, and I'll update this discussion.
A quick update: the latest version of Storyline 360 shows the Exit Course trigger working in each supported browser as long as your course is launched in a new window. Here's more information about the Exit Course trigger. Have a look at implementing the launch in a new window feature, and let me know if you are still having issues with the Exit Course trigger!

Hello Crystal, thank you for your help! We used the launch in a new window but still have the problem with Firefox. Chrome is working just fine.
Thanks, Yeliz. I've opened a case so we can dig in!

I am having the same issue, I have courses that get uploaded for students to an external website as they don't have access to the LMS. I assumed the Exit menu worked, but I saw this thread and realized none of mine work. I tried Chrome and Firefox. We use Chrome in our office....and the exit doesn't do anything, and I have it launching in a new window, but it doesn't actually launch in a new window, it opens in the same tab where they clicked the link to the course... I attached the file.
Thanks for sharing your file and allowing me to take a look, Teresa.
I'm seeing the same behavior and I'm reaching out to my team again on this and using your published output as a sample.

Hi Leslie, just checking in if any update? Or you will update here once it is fixed?

We are experiencing this issue in both Chrome and Firefox. We have uploaded the courses to external servers for testing before we upload to the LMS but the exit buttons just don't work properly.

I'm also experiencing this issue in Google Chrome and Safari but not on Internet Explorer. Is there any idea if this can be fixed and if so when?
