  • This trigger may be a problem:

Think through what it says: If the Hint button is already in Selected state, change it to selected (The system may actually do that, but if it is already in Selected state, will you notice the "change"? ), but if it is not Selected state change it to Normal (which it already is, since it only has two states, Normal and Selected.) Again if it changes from Normal to Normal, will you notice it? So this trigger is really not doing anything.

All the built-in states (the ones that have names on the drop-down menu) have built-in superpowers. When an object with a selected state is clicked, it toggles back and forth between Normal and Selected state. So if you delete the trigger, the Selected state will work as intended.

When you create a trigger that duplicates the built-in function, it frequently causes conflict with how the system operates. While you didn't ask for specific help, or define a problem, whatever your problem is, it may be related to that conflict, so your first step should be to disable or delete that trigger.
