What happened to play media when media completes trigger functionality?
I need to update a very complicated story with a looping video using the above trigger and many layers. Even a 2020 David Anderson video says to use the above trigger to make this happen. The video is too short to use the layers to make it loop as they don't finish before the end of the video. I never expected functionality to be removed and therefore a simple update to a story to require major work.
Is this functionality still there or not?
Hello everyone! 🎉
I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 91, we’ve included important fixes and new features. One of the bugs we’ve fixed:
- Videos didn’t loop when designed to do so
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help.
It's possible there's a bug in a newer release. You can rollback to the version I have that is working.
It's still there.

This trigger, on the same layer as the video, should loop the video, regardless of what the layers are doing.

That's exactly my point -It's there but no longer works.

I am trying a bunch of variables, triggers etc to try to get a looping action. Does anyone know what works? WITHOUT using layers.

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought the problem was that while necessary content layers were showing, the video was ending before the layer timelines.
Import that slide into a new story, and post that .story file here, and someone can take a look at it.
If you can share the slide we can look at it to see how the trigger is set up and determine if there's a technical issue or the way it's triggering.
However, the trigger function still works to loop the video. It's possible you may need an initial trigger to play the video and then a second trigger to loop it.

Is there another way to get this to you - won't let me post the slide as attachment.

This happened to me on a previous story which I could use layers to fix. But I can't on this one. The only thing I can think of to do is making the video into a really LONG video but the storys already take a really LONG time to load on my learners chromebooks ( a problem they complain about constantly even with short storys). It worked so well previously but now we have reach 360 so I need to republish. I need to use in class tomorrow. Been here long enough to have had 09 version and have appreciated your help over the years and the updates but am hanging on by a thread.
Here's the published course. From what I can see, the video loops as it should. Am I missing something?
