Upload/Publish to Review extremely slow - Parallels on Mac user
Has this issue been resolved?
- Symptoms: Each upload takes me no less than 1 hour or more. My uploads were quick in the past and just suddenly became extremely slow. (SL itself is extremely sluggish as well. A preview of a slide takes much longer than my window user friends). This is an issue as sometimes I publish 3-4 versions per day. So that runs me about 4 hours of upload time. At least 40% of the time the upload fails 1/2-3/4 of the way through an upload and I have to try again.
- Running latest version of Parallels on the new MacBook Pro M1 chip.
- Tried workaround: uninstalling SL and reinstalling. Didn't help.
- Internet connectivity and speeds are fine.
- Storyline version: v3.70.29211.0
- SL .story File size: 31,769,938 bytes (31.8 MB on disk)
Any ideas? Thank you!
Hello Katelyn!
Sorry to hear you are experiencing this! Happy to help you troubleshoot.
Thanks for sharing what troubleshooting steps you have gone through thus far.
I'd recommend confirming that your Parallels Desktop is configured according to this guide.
- When you take a look at the link above, you'll see that the M1 Chip is supported on Parallels 16.5 and later when working on Windows 10 on ARM Insider Preview. Can you confirm that you are currently using Windows 10 on your device?
We just released a new version of Storyline 360 this morning (Build 3.71.29339.0). Perhaps updating Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app will do the trick!
If you still have difficulty publishing, please feel free to contact us in a private support case. Our talented Support Engineer Staff can take a look at your project file and assist you further.

I am having the exact same problem, was this ever resolved?

you could try to upload to review 360 in two steps
first
then start your browser (on the mac, not in Parallels) and import the course
