Storyline with Mac M1 Chip and Parallels- Lots of Lag

Hello everyone, 

I have a Mac with a M1 chip. I downloaded Parallels so I could run Articulate Storyline. There is a lot of lag when I am working in Storyline from adding triggers to trying to preview my course. I am new to Storyline, but everything just seems to take a long time to load. Is there something I can change in the settings to fix this problem? If anyone knows of a way to help with this, I would greatly appreciate it!

    Hi Brooke and Alexander,

    I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 77, we've included important fixes and new features.

    One of the bugs we've fixed is: 

    • The trigger wizard performs faster on M-series Macs.

    Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

    I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a lag when trying to add triggers or preview your course. I'm happy to help troubleshoot!

    • We recommend working from your local hard drive. Working from a network drive can cause erratic behavior.
    • If you continue to see these issues, a Storyline repair usually fixes the problem.

    Hi Kelly, 

    Thanks for the information! I moved my project to my local C drive, but that didn't help the lagging. I also reinstalled Storyline but that did not help either, unfortunately. I also made myself the owner of my C Drive as that is what the article recommended, but no luck their either. Is there anything else I could try?

    There is known lag on Apple silicon at the moment in particular when opening the trigger panel. I believe Articulate are investigating this but no joy yet.
