Storyline 360: Translation Import Error

Hello, 

I am attempting to translate a Storyline 360 course using an XLIFF file but am experiencing an unspecified error: "The translation import failed. Some translations may have been applied, however." Some text is translated, while other whole slides are not translated. 

The Diagnostics log provides multiples of the same error message: "Translation import error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" and has a timestamp tag. However, I am not seeing a specific location (slide, object, etc) where the error is. 

What can I do to identify the specific slides where errors are happening? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out! Sorry that you're running in to an error message when translating a course. It is difficult to tell what the main issue is without seeing the .story file. Is it possible that you can share the .story file and translation file with us? You can share it here in this discussion or privately in a support case.
