Software Sim Issue

Hi there. I am trying to create a software simulation for my company. I've followed the steps to: create a new project, selected the Record Screen button, and even recorded my screen. But, when I finish recording and try to Insert the Slides as Step by Step "Try Mode" in Storyline, the output of my recording is just a black screen with none of my screen recording content captured. I've made sure that my correct screen is selected for the recording but it doesn't seem to capture it. I can hear myself clicking but the video doesn't seem to have come through each time I try it. Any ideas for troubleshooting?
