Looking for clarity: are the new SL text-to-speech voices available after AI Assistant trial?

As the title asks, are the new-and-improved text-to-speech voices in Storyline part of the AI Assistant trial? Or are they a permanent update to the text-to-speech feature? Will they disappear once the trial is over?

This article leads me to believe they are part of the trial, but it's unclear.

Thank you.

  • On this came topic, can someone help?

Is there a way to change my voice back to regular text to speech after using AI voices text? I am asking this because it was very easy to convert my text to speech to an AI voice during the trial (that I didn't know was a trial, somehow, I missed that) and I had updated the voices in a couple of trainings. Now, if and when, which will be soon, I may have to edit those text and now I cannot. There was a LOT of text that I cannot convert back to regular text-to-speech which is a huge inconvenience.

When I right-click and select Audio, text to speech, it wants me to enter brand new text. I shouldn't have to because it was already there.

It seems that this should be a feature to revert back to just as easily as it was to convert to. Unfortunately, the only way to get my original text to voice back is to upgrade, which because of pending policies on AI, I cannot do that the moment.

Any ideas on how to get the original text to speech back?

  • Hi @AndreaLissorRos,

I'm happy to provide some clarity here!

The AI-generated text-to-speech feature is available while you have the AI Assistant trial. At the end of the trial period, you must upgrade your subscription to Articulate 360 AI for continued access to AI Assistant. Please note that you'll be able to view any content created with AI Assistant if you publish the course before your trial ends.

    I hope this helps!
