Video tutorials...and Rise Help...lost in a maze

The bookmark feature that the old community site had isn't available on the new site. Instead, you can "follow" a given topic by clicking the bell+ icon near the top right corner. 

• Unfortunately, there's no way to retrieve previous bookmarks.

The training area includes a video about the difference between Rise and Storyline. Here's a quick overview:

• Rise is an online app. (Storyline is a desktop app.)
• Rise is form-based for simplicity. Just fill in the blanks and adjust available settings. However, that also limits how much you can control interactions. (It is possible to insert Storyline blocks.)
• Rise is designed to be mobile friendly, with the user scrolling through each lesson (instead of clicking through individual slides). 
• Rise is responsive. In other words, it adjusts the content based on the width of the browser. I think that's why you can't force multiple lines in the title. The title automatically adjusts based on the space available. It could look really weird if there were also line breaks. 

Thank you for your detailed response. Can't cry over spilled milk, but I (am sure other users too) had over 3 years of bookmarked topics. Not sure what the logic was behind wiping them out. Anyway, back to this discussion...so how do I put the title on two lines...I can't seem to find the option...and have wasted over 1 1/2 hour on it.

I should mention, this course I am working on I am using the AI feature and trying it out...I attended a webinar couple days ago. The AI feature based on my trying it out is definitely helpful and a time saver. I have been using AI engines (Claude, Perplexity, ChatGPT, etc.) for a while and am quite familiar with AI Hallucination. So, when it comes to use of AI in Articulate (Rise and Storyline) is Hallucination an issue to be aware of? Thank you.

I agree that many of us would love to get our old bookmarks back. As far as I know (which, frankly, isn't that far) there wasn't a specific choice to wipe them out. The new vendor simply doesn't have that as an option. 

I'll try to clarify my previous reply: Rise doesn't let you add line breaks to a title. It considers a title to be one line of text.

• I can't say for sure what the rationale is for that. My best guess is it's because Rise content is responsive. That means the text may wrap at different points based on the width of the browser, and that could result in extra lines that could impact the standard space allowed. 

I haven't used the Articulate AI Assistant enough to provide a definitive answer about that. I suggest you start a new discussion to get more feedback on that. 

Thank you so much for clarifying Rise Does Not allow for line breaks in the title. It was driving me nuts. Then is there a way to edit the title so I can make it shorter to fit in one line. For the life of me, I can't find that option anywhere to edit the title text. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I could be wrong, but generally speaking, responsive design (at least in my experience) where the content fits and adapts to the screen size be it mobile phone, tablet or PC/MAC screen should not impact how the line breaks are placed when designing a course. But you know what they say, you learn something new everyday.

You're not wrong about responsive design. Responsiveness keeps line breaks that are entered in the text. As needed, it adds additional wrapping to make the text fit. 

The blocks in Rise let you add breaks to the text. For whatever reason, the title field doesn't. (More spilt milk...)
