Transcript is not shown after publishing the storyline file
When I publish my e-learning the transcript is not shown on the slides. Can you help me with this?
Thank you!
Hello Jasmien,
Thanks for reaching out!
I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:
- By transcript, do you mean Closed Captions in a Storyline 360 course?
- Does the transcript appear when you preview your slides?
- If you are referring to Closed Caption files, which program or application did you use to generate the file, and are they in a correct and supported format (SRT, VTT, SBV, and SUB)?
Additionally, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a case so we can take a look it? We'll delete it afterwards!

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out.
1) Yes I mean the CC
2) No the transcript doesn't appear in the preview
3) Don't know we received the storyline file, afterwards it's translated with an xlif file and uploaded again in storyline
When I open the slides we see --) %transcript% we see this where the transcript should show
Thanks for your help!
The string %transcript% indicates that a variable is being referenced in one of your slides. Can you provide more information regarding how this variable is being populated? It would help to see the mechanics of your project that are responsible for assigning values to this variable so we can try and track down why it's not populating the correct values.
