Text entry blank in Rise

I'm developing some material and the project owner has asked about the feasibility of allowing end users to input text which could be reported back to our LMS. We'd then view the entered text and use the information to direct future training efforts. I had to tell the owner this isn't possible now but that I'd ask if something like this was forthcoming. Are there any plans for adding text entry as a block/interaction/quiz option?

  • Just jumping in to say that I'd also love to have a text entry knowledge check activity with the option to add feedback after the question is answered. Even better if it can connect to LMS.

Right now I'm adding them as Storyline blocks as well, but this is very time consuming and the blocks often look out of place among the Rise content.

3 years have passed and we are still without this feature

  • +1 I really need a feature to Rise with free text that will be safed to the user logged in in our LMS

HI there, has this been resolved? I cannot find anything to suggest that free text responses will be captured in the LMS

  • This is still a fundamental feature that is missing in all Articulate's products. This lack of functionality is an issue I come up against on EVERY. SINGLE. PROJECT. I WORK ON.

I have been able to work around some of this by embedding Qualtrics instruments as web objects in Storyline slides, and then embedding the Storyline slides in Rise, but that is limited and considering what Articulate charges annually it is mind-boggling that they have not bothered to solve this problem yet.
