Storyline images uploaded from a screen with heavy content

If you create an interactive step by step presentation in Storyline that demonstrates process. Screen Images with some pictures and heavy word content are uploaded. Does this create content that will not be acceptable to all learners?

In the video about PPT to Rise 360, the program trainer made that point clear. Is that also true of images with heavy content in Storyline?

  • From an accessibility standpoint, most would avoid images that also contain a lot of words.  Screen readers for example will not read those words, so you would need to add that content into the alternate text of that image.

(From our Accessibility expert) If the stuff on the screen is important, you might want to consider adding an "image description" in some way in addition to the alt text since alt text is designed to be short.

  • Thank you, Ron for this detailed answer! This is exactly what I needed to be clear on before I moved further on in Rise 360 & Storyline.

    So appreciate it!
