Red X show stopper bug
What causes this? It happens to me seemingly randomly at least once a day, has no warning and gives no reason. Just clicking away and bang, it's dead. Can't even exit, I have to CrlAltDel and kill it from there. I have to basically save after every single thing I do to avoid losing work and its getting really old.
For what its worth Event Viewer says
The program Storyline.exe version 3.62.27443.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Hi Bruce!
Sorry to hear you've run into this setback!
Our development team made a big push for bug fixes in 2023! Since you encountered this issue in a slightly older version of Storyline 360, I would suggest updating your desktop apps to version 3.85.31840.0.
If you are still experiencing this issue after updating, please connect with our support engineers through a support case. They'd be happy to continue troubleshooting with you!

I am also experiencing the same issue, even after updating my desktop apps to the latest version. I'm unable to open several layers, and also unable to publish to Review360. I have opened a support ticket already, and have been trying to resolve the case with support for a week now. Any other ideas?
Thank you,
Heather Klein
Hi Heather,
I see you've been communicating with my teammate, Chester, to resolve this issue. You're in great hands!

Hello! I'm still receiving the red 'x' on multiple slides. Even after clearing the 2 corrupted files that Chester discovered. What else can I do?

Hi Kelly,
I'm still receiving the red 'x' on multiple files, even after clearing 2 corrupted slides that Chester found in the file. Is there anything else I can do?
