Picture Fill Slowing Down Storyline

Hi. I'm currently using my free 30-day trial of Storyline 360 and I've noticed that when I fill a shape with a picture and then add a shadow to it it significantly slows down Storyline to the point where it becomes unusable. It causes such a delay that I can't move objects around the slide. The problem goes away if I delete the shadow off of the shape. 

Obviously, I'm new to Storyline so I'm not sure what the problem is or the workaround to fix it.

    Hi Wendi, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community! 

    I tested this on my end, and adding a shadow to a picture worked as expected.

    Since I couldn’t reproduce this issue, let me ask you a few questions to begin troubleshooting:

    • Have you tried copying the picture into a new .story file?
    • Is this issue isolated to one picture, or every picture when you try inserting a shadow?
    • Have you attempted a repair of Storyline 360? Here are the instructions.
