Increasing Audio Level on Exported .mp4 Scene

Hello E-learning Heroes!

We're having a consistent audio issue when exporting Storyline scenes containing only have video/audio on the timeline. The audio starts Low as it's set in the Storyline option and then there's this "rubber-band" effect that causes the audio to drastically increase at the :18-20 second mark. It's happening to every scene we try to export as a .mp4.

What is perplexing is this audio increase doesn't occur on any video when viewing it on Review360 or when inserted into Rise as an interactive block.

We're hoping another hero can share something silly we're overlooking (and yes, on the video export option of Storyline, we've selected the checkbox to keep all audio levels the same for all audio_

  • Hi Kevin,

I'm happy to help! We are monitoring a Storyline bug in which the audio volume increases after the duration of the video in the same slide. It also happens after publishing the project to video.

I'd like to find out whether your project is affected by this bug. Would you be willing to share a copy of your Storyline file here or privately through a support case so we can look at how the media are set up in your course? We'll delete it when we're done testing.

Thank you for reaching out so quickly!

Of course, we've attached some project files that is occuring and I'm so glad it's a bug. Thought it was a setting I had toggled and was losing my marbles ðŸ™‚

Tried sharing a larger file, but I'll share that file through a support ticket

You're welcome, Kevin. Thanks for sharing your project in a support case. After looking at your Storyline file, I noticed that my colleague Luiza ruled out that the bug I mentioned affected the project. I encourage you to keep troubleshooting with her until we can find a resolution.
