Freelance Instructional Design- LMS Question
Hello! I am trying to understand more about the world of freelance instructional design. I am imagining some clients in mind to develop eLearning courses, but am getting hung up on one detail- if they do not have an LMS already, how can people take the eLearning courses / trainings? Is this possible?

All that's needed to take an eLearning course is an available web server to store it on.
However, to track who took it and if they successfully completed it, the course needs a special place to send that info. That requires a learning management system (LMS) for SCORM or a learning record store (LRS) for xAPI/TinCan.
So if a client wants a trackable eLearning course, but they don't have an LMS/LRS, they should to get one.

So if they don't need to track it, just have an available web server to store it on, what does that look? Does that mean their own website? Thank you!

Yes, they can put the course on their own website.
Here's the info from the User Guide: https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-360/articles/storyline-360-publishing-a-course-for-web-distribution

Do you know how? Or can you direct me to where I can figure it out?
