Font changing when in preview/published
Hi,
I have created a course and the font is changing any time I try to preview a slide or publish the file. The font is Interstate ExtraLight. I have tried:
-deleting/re-creating the affected text boxes
-Uninstalled/reinstalled Storyline
-Re-installed the font family on my computer
I then realized that it is not doing this in any other courses. I have attached the file and was hoping someone could tell me what is going on with this font.
Examples of this font can be found on 1.1 and all of 3.
I also noticed that Interstate Regular does not look right on 1.2.
Thanks!
Lindsey

Thanks for sharing those fonts, Lindsey!
Take a Peek here at how your course looks from my computer. Is that similar to what you're seeing?
If not, could you record a Peek or share screenshots of how the slides look on your end?

Hi Lindsey,
Thanks for those screenshots! I was trying to isolate what could be different about your set up than Alyssa's (as her example looked good to me).
Do you know what update of Storyline 360 you're using? The easiest way to check is to view the Help tab -> About Articulate Storyline. You're looking for Build 3.13.15006.0.
Also, have you tested with/without using modern text to see if it behave differently?
Also, you showed it in preview, but how does it appear in publish for you?

Thank you! I took off "use modern text" and it is working.
Thanks!
Lindsey
Thanks, Lindsey!
That's really strange, because I published your file with Modern Text enabled.
We're going to do some digging into why Modern Text caused this problem for you. Can you help me with a few details about your project?

- Do you see the same problem when Modern Text is enabled if you try a different font?

I am using Build 3.13.15006.0
I did swap the font out to Times New Roman and Open Sans and had no issues. This was before I unchecked the use modern text box.
Thanks for confirming those details, Lindsey. This one is a puzzle for sure, but we're going to continue testing to see if there's a bug lurking here. I'll keep you posted on what I find out!

Hi Lindsey, this issue came across my plate and I'm trying to understand what's going on. When I installed the font files that end in .ttf (truetype) then I don't see a problem. When I remove those and install the font files that end in .otf (opentype) then I do see the bug.
Could you try uninstalling your interstate fonts, and then reinstalling the .ttf files? Let me know if that fixes it for you.

Hi, I did uninstall and reinstall the fonts at that time. This was the only course impacted, and the issue went away when i unchecked the "use modern text" box.
Thanks!
Lindsey
Hi Lindsey,
Thanks for letting us know that you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling your fonts. We're going to do some more digging into this, and we'll keep you posted on what we find out!
