Drag & Drop Interaction: Small Issues
Good day to you all! First time poster, long time reader...
I've created a drag and drop interaction, which I've attached, which works (for the most part) with a few 'small issues'. Here are the issues I hope to fix...
1. When correct, I would like the answer to 'lock in' to the description shape. Currently the correct answer will stay where dragged and dropped. I just think it looks cleaner if it 'locks' into the shape.
2. When incorrect, another choice displays. I'd like for the next choice to display only after a correct pair is made.
I hope that describes my issues, and I would greatly appreciate any ideas on how to fix it. Thank you all, love the community here!

Hi, Shannon.
Thank you for sharing your .story file!
While our talented community members will be your best bet in providing recommendations, I wanted to offer a suggestion for your first question:
When correct, I would like the answer to 'lock in' to the description shape.
Instead of using your Groups, you can create a small transparent target and use "Snap to Center" in the Drag and Drop options. In the example below, there's a blue rectangle I used as the target. I converted it to a transparent rectangle once in position:

I hope this helps!

That would certainly fix it! But, I'm not 100% sure how you used the rectangle. Did you attach it to the Engineers then create a group with them?

And I have one down!
For those interested here is an updated version with the 'snap to' fixed, thanks to Maria! - ShannonBufordCommunity Member
With the fix, now the answers appear in the exact order they are matched. The 'Answer Shuffle' doesn't seem to work. Do I need to adjust something else?

Hi, Shannon.
On your original .story file (before the fix), the drag items were also not shuffled, since you are using the option to Reveal items one at a time.
You can, however, change the order they appear:
Let me know if that works!

It did work! I had an incorrect match in the original, and that led to me thinking it wasn't reordering them properly. Thank you VERY much for your help.
Is there any way of having only one answer appear at a time if matched incorrectly? I'm trying to think if there is a way I could use a variable, but I think it would get pretty 'weedy'...

Hi, Shannon.
Here's a suggestion for that: in your Drag and Drop options, set it to return the item to the start point if dropped outside a correct target:

Works like a charm! Thank you VERY much!
Here's the completed slide for anyone interested.
