AI Assistant - Captioning non-AI Audio Files
Can AI Assistant add captioning to audio files not generated through AI Assistant?
Thanks! Our Notes panel is the "script" used for the recorded audio. But I see where you are going. Use the AI Text-to speech to create the captions, export the caption file from the AI version, import that caption file into our audio file, and then delete the AI Audio. Then we just need to tweak the caption timing to match our audio.
Thanks!

Hi FrankSchweigert!
Happy to help with this!
To generate closed captions in Storyline with AI Assistant, you can leverage the Text-to-Speech feature, which automatically creates captions synchronized with your narration. However, the closed captioning source material must first be manually entered into the Notes panel. Currently, AI Assistant cannot generate closed captions from an audio file alone.
I recorded a quick Peek outlining that process! In my example, I typed a short script into the Notes panel, then used AI Assistant to generate Text-to-Speech, with closed captions included.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!
