Adaptive video not working
I have a project that contains a lot of videos. But when I try to use the adaptive publish quality, the publish gives an error report as soon as the first video is generated the compression.
Someone having issues with it? I`ve already tryed different format files for my videos, but can`t find anyone that works
I would repeat this issue. I have safety videos with minimal updating each year, this month I tried publishing last year's FEB safety course as this year's FEB safety course with adaptive turned on... our LMS won't even play the course. It opens the first slide and just sits there forever.
Any advice on getting this to work? The adaptive thing seems like a great idea on the surface.

the LMS web server has to support HLS video streaming (-> mime types) for adaptive video
But my problem it is that I cant publish the course, that said I cant even try to upload to a LMS.
perhaps a problem with the file size
if you use adaptive video, the video data are approx. 2.5 the size of the 'normal' compressed video
so the scorm package will be much bigger
I am having exactly the same issue. I have only 2 short videos in my course, but the slides with the videos won't even load once published to our LMS. Works fine once I uncheck the Adaptive video Quality Option. Unfortunate, as I though this was going to be a great option for our learner's with slower internet connections.

Really sorry you are both running into this issue! I have sent you both an email with a link to upload your Storyline files to us privately. Getting a hold of the .STORY file will allow us to check under the hood and will be super useful for engineering. ask your LMS admin, if he has enabled HLS video streaming support on the LMS web server
Good to know that the size it is going to be higher, but i cant even publish when the option it is on, the storyline pops a error report window
if the error message appears - please click on the blue text button "information", then a second window will open with more informations
just copy the text from the second window and post it here

storyline has big problems with folder that synchronize while storyline accesses them
