10422 TopicsSurvey Feedback
Hi all. I have a module that I set up with a survey (3 likert questions on one page and a freeform question on a second page) for users to complete. The module is created in Rise 360 and the survey is part of a quiz at the end which was build in quizmaker and imported into storyline, published to Review 360 and then imported to Rise. Hope that makes sense. I have the module hosted in on Articulate Reach 360 for users to complete but I am stumped where or how I can find the feedback provided. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.40Views0likes2CommentsVideo file sizes increasing when Rise SCORM file is exported
Hi. Rise is increasing my video file sizes when I export a SCORM file. I have tried uploading various resolutions and compression settings, but the smallest video file Rise creates is still 50% larger than the smallest file I can output with a tolerable quality. The info below gives an example of what I am experiencing - here testing with various file sizes/resolutions to see how Rise compresses it... 1. My video: 540p, MP4, 20.8MB --- Rise 'compresses' to a 31.3MB 540p file 2. My video: 1080p, MP4, 786MB --- Rise compresses to a 52.5MB 720p file 3. My video: 720p, MP4, 411MB --- Rise compresses to a 56.2MB 720p file I have seen this issue reported in other threads but without any resolution that I can see (I do not want to embed video content e.g. with Vimeo, nor do I have the resources to manually replace all the video content in my courses with my smaller files every time I publish a SCORM file). Please can you advise if this is still something that is being investigated and when a resolution is expected (the option to use the actual uploaded video file without compression would solve this, as in Storyline)? Also is there any known workaround using the current Rise workflow (e.g. if I were to upload a 540p video with a specific bitrate, the Rise compression would actually produce a smaller video)? BTW I am using Adobe Media Encoder to output my videos. Thanks for your help, Peter49Views0likes10CommentsBranching options for Continue blocks in RISE 360
I was working on a project this morning and needed to add a lesson which not all learners need to complete. Rather than dropping in at the end of the course, I've used a button to branch to the lesson I need. This is inconsistent with the rest of the course (not a major irritant to the learner but to the author!) for progressing through so I wondered if Articulate have considered branching options for continue blocks rather than just moving onto the next lesson. I'm also curious to hear if anyone else has a solution to this other than building a block in Storyline.2Views0likes0CommentsNVDA and RISE move from TOC to topic and...
Hi there, I am learning it is challenging to test using NVDA when you don't have the special keyboard or you are really unfamiliar with its use. For the most part I seem to be able to bounce around, and noticed when my mouse hovers over a section it starts talking (i don't recall this before), What I am struggling with is the initial start. I launch the course listen to the intro, press start, tab down to my first topic lesson objectives, I thought I would right arrow over to the content and then work through, but I can't seem to get over there, if I hover my mouse over there then select the down arrow it seems to move me through. Any tips. Also moving from a storyline block to a timeline block and getting the timeline block to start with the text and not the zoom in on image... Tips would be great, I have googled lots but nothing that has helped me. Thanks T P.S. found the edit button (cog wheel far right, not close enough to my article LOL!19Views0likes2CommentsAdditional padding in Rise360 when using the carousel image,
In Rise360, I'm using a group of carousel images to display screenshots with captions below the screenshots and this worked well for me until about the 15th of July. Now there are large sections of padding before and after the image which increases in size based on the largest image in the carousel, and / or the most amount of text in the captions. It doesn't look very good now and changing to another image type is going to involve many hours of work. All padding is set to 0 but doesn't seem to help at all. I've added 3 screenshots from the same carousel, notice the padding where the image is smaller than the others and where there is less caption text. Is this a bug in Rise and will it be corrected anytime soon? If not a bug can anyone advise how I can get around this issue without completely changing the image types?45Views0likes7CommentsCourse Progress Not Saved
Hello. We are having issues with courses created in Rise and published to our LMS. Our typical course is created in Blocks and contains 3-4 Lessons, each with multiple sections that are advanced by using CONTINUE dividers. When users exit the course using the course Exit button (set using the Export settings) and then return, it takes them to the beginning of the Lesson rather than the place within the Lesson where they left off. Also, even though they have completed a previous Lesson, the circular progress bar forthat Lesson is onlypartially highlighted. Other notes - this is happening on both our LMS and on SCORM Cloud. Also, the good news is that when finished, the course is reporting as completed to the LMS. I appreciate your help.42Views0likes44CommentsRISE publish/export to word instead of PDF (like we can do with Storyline)
Is it possible to have RISE publish/export to word instead of PDF like we are able to do with Storyline? Now that we are using the AI assistant to generate courses, we are using a backwards design approach where we generate a starting course (using legislation, policies etc) and we need to then export this initial course to a storyboard for our SMEs to review and modify. Using a pdf as a storyboard just does not work (comments are useless and cumbersome, especially with larger courses with multiple lessons). PDF does not convert to word properly when you have already created interactive blocks in RISE to export back to a storyboard (we have tried that). If this can be done in storyline, then why can this not be done with RISE (so we can have a storyboard for our SMEs?) Also, we use exported files for course updating (not just creating), and I need to export the course to word to create a storyboard for SMEs to review and make changes needed to update material. I see that this was requested 7 years ago, can we please priortize this feature request, especially for your users who are using your new AI assistant now to create courses and will also need to export back to a storyboard? Thanks9Views0likes0CommentsAre your Rise markers turning black or just mine?
I sent a SME a review link a while back and some of the labelled graphics were properly white on red and some were black on red. When I opened the hood to have a look, they were white again. They are black in edit, preview, and review. I've deleted and redone - same thing. I created a whole new topic/block and had white ones. Until I did something, and then, to quote Amy "Back to Black". Is this happening to anyone else? I'm wondering if it is since the new release. It's the second issue I've had - the other is that two asterisks now makes text bold - when I used it to insert comments, requests to the SME etc, because ** are easy to search for.11Views0likes1CommentCanvas support for xAPI and Rise 360
I have an issue with Canvas configuration for an LRS because Canvas does not have a native xAPI support and we found a loophole to this problem by using Storyline and configuring an LRS in the xAPI published package and uploaded it as SCORM in Canvas but the embedded configuration for the LRS allowed for us to get data in our LRS. The institution wants to use Rise primarily which takes away our LRS configuration that Storyline has. Any suggestions on how we can make this work with Canvas? We were thinking a middleware LTI possibly but I wanted to get some opinions on here. Thank you.12Views0likes0Comments
