Rise 360
10404 TopicsSuccessFactors LMS applying its own Navigational buttons
Hello, When I publish Rise 360 to our SuccessFactors LMS it is applying navigational buttons that I do not want. I have been told by our LMS administrators this is normal behavior for SCORM 2004, but these buttons are new to me. Also, these buttons do not work, they kick the user out of the course. I don't want them at all. My LMS admin said I need to do something to the manifest to "hide" these as they can't be disabled but provided zero guidance on what steps to take or what I need to do to the manifest. Any guidance provided would be appreciated as it is confusing learners.82Views0likes15CommentsReducing file sizes of SCORM 1.2 .zip files
I just exported my Rise360 course to a SCORM 1.2 .zip file. The final compressed size of the file was over 30 MB. My LMS (Moodle) will only allow uploads less than 20 MB. I already have all of my media elements optimized. Does anyone know any way to reduce the size of the .zip file?76Views0likes11CommentsVideo file sizes increasing when Rise SCORM file is exported
Hi. Rise is increasing my video file sizes when I export a SCORM file. I have tried uploading various resolutions and compression settings, but the smallest video file Rise creates is still 50% larger than the smallest file I can output with a tolerable quality. The info below gives an example of what I am experiencing - here testing with various file sizes/resolutions to see how Rise compresses it... 1. My video: 540p, MP4, 20.8MB --- Rise 'compresses' to a 31.3MB 540p file 2. My video: 1080p, MP4, 786MB --- Rise compresses to a 52.5MB 720p file 3. My video: 720p, MP4, 411MB --- Rise compresses to a 56.2MB 720p file I have seen this issue reported in other threads but without any resolution that I can see (I do not want to embed video content e.g. with Vimeo, nor do I have the resources to manually replace all the video content in my courses with my smaller files every time I publish a SCORM file). Please can you advise if this is still something that is being investigated and when a resolution is expected (the option to use the actual uploaded video file without compression would solve this, as in Storyline)? Also is there any known workaround using the current Rise workflow (e.g. if I were to upload a 540p video with a specific bitrate, the Rise compression would actually produce a smaller video)? BTW I am using Adobe Media Encoder to output my videos. Thanks for your help, Peter42Views0likes9CommentsHow does one change the owner of a folder in Rise 360?
We have a team of seatholders and understand that content ownership can be changed so when a team member is about to leave, a new owner for their work can be chosen. How do you chose a new owner for a folder? I am anticipating that when team members who own folders leave, I will no longer be able to delete their folders. Thanks!17Views0likes3CommentsRise inside lesson link
Hello! I'd like to create links inside a lesson to another next lesson. The idea is to use an image with markers (Labeled graphics) and insert a link, in each marker, to another lesson and then add a return to the image again to get to the next marker. Can you help me? Is it possible?23Views0likes42CommentsDownloading Published Rise LMS Content
Is it me or has the way an admin downloads published Rise courses changed? I'm sure I used to click the publish button and a SCORM package would automatically download into my 'Downloads' folder (as well as an email getting generated). Now I have to go to the email and click 'Download Content', it opens a browser with another 'Download Content' button, and I have to click that, often loads of times for it to fire the download process to start.21Views0likes3CommentsNVDA and RISE move from TOC to topic and...
Hi there, I am learning it is challenging to test using NVDA when you don't have the special keyboard or you are really unfamiliar with its use. For the most part I seem to be able to bounce around, and noticed when my mouse hovers over a section it starts talking (i don't recall this before), What I am struggling with is the initial start. I launch the course listen to the intro, press start, tab down to my first topic lesson objectives, I thought I would right arrow over to the content and then work through, but I can't seem to get over there, if I hover my mouse over there then select the down arrow it seems to move me through. Any tips. Also moving from a storyline block to a timeline block and getting the timeline block to start with the text and not the zoom in on image... Tips would be great, I have googled lots but nothing that has helped me. Thanks T P.S. found the edit button (cog wheel far right, not close enough to my article LOL!14Views0likes1CommentAI Images - Published File Names Too Long
I made some images when we had our free trial of the AI Assistant. I published my course and ran into the issue that the file names for the images were too long - which makes me unable to upload the content into my LMS. The image names are whatever my image prompt was which, can be lengthy when you are looking to create something very specific. When I rename the image, the path gets disrupted which, then my images don't show in the published - uploaded course in the LMS. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions? Is there going to be a way to rename an image in the future?16Views0likes2Comments
