Suggestions: Have sections "light up"
Hi,
My boss wants to see if SL can create a way to highlight and maybe even link sections of a circular graphic. I have very limited graphic skills. Very. Limited.
If you look at the sample, we are trying to highlight each of the three sections around the middle circle. Unfortunately, I don't have images of each section.
Any tips would help a lot!
Is something like this what you're looking for? If so, there may be better ways to do this, but I used the Freeform tool to outline the three shapes and added a glow and soften edge effect to get rid of the harsh edges. Added each shape to its own state and freeform hotspots to change the state on hover. Hope that helps!
Yes! Excellent! Thanks for thinking of edge softening. I tried the free form as well, but the edges looked too harsh.
How did you highlight each section to alter the edges? I created another state for the center circle
I think I might have figured it out. Mine was easy cause it is a circle. Insert circle shape, change color, set at 60% transparency in state
