Storyline stops working when attempting a Preview.

Trying to preview the presentation (5 times so far) only get about half way through preparation I get the "something went wrong with Articulate Storyline" message.  Have saved the presentation, shut down the PC, rebooted but still get the same issue.  Also does the same thing when I try to Publish.

    are you previewing/publishing from your local drive?  If so, sounds like you might have a corrupt slide or an object on a slide.

    Recommend creating a new project file and importing a few slides in at a time to troubleshoot.

      G’day Alyssa,

      It worked out okay, although it was not in the way Wendy suggested. I was originally attempting to simplify my presentation and copying each slide to new presentation. The original presentation had a lot of layers and looping back to sub-menu slides. I was turning this into just a progression through the slides with no looping back to sub-menus presentation and that was where I had my issues with the preview and as an alternative attempting to publish. Solved the issues by just manipulating the original into the simplified slide progression. Don’t know how this solved the problem, but it did!

      Hi Alyssa,

      I got this issue after getting updates yesterday, before this I worked smoothly.

      Today I uninstall storyline and re-install to see the result, but that was same as before.

  • Mal is right, I have same issue and sharing error screen.

     Already send error report 24 hours before but still there is no answer and I am unable to work since then...

      I fixed the same issue I had earlier today by closing down two other presentation I had open. Not sure how this would have 'cured' the issue but it worked.

      Hi Alyssa,

      My problem resolved, today just half an hour before I got a new update of storyline and studio on my articulate dashboard, after update this issue resolved.

      I am totally unaware of this kind of error, also I am not sour that how did it resolved, but finally after 3 days I am back to my work.
