Storyline Notes - font

It's now been a year...has there been any progress in addressing this issue?

You can change the notes font via the player settings. When you select Player > Colors & Effects you can change the captions font. As soon as I did that my notes font changed to the chosen font on any new slide. I hope that helps.

Carla, I think you can go into your Slide Master and change it.

Thanks for your response. But I don't see anyplace in Slide Masters where I can change the Notes. Am I missing something?

Hi, Carla!  You're not missing anything.  Storyline v1 is missing something.    To my knowledge, there is no way to globally reset the Notes font.  Mike Enders did a Screenr to show how you can export the text, change the font in MSWord, then reimport it, using Storyline's translation feature:

They are currently working on the next version of Storyline.  I placed a request for this Notes font feature some time ago, but I don't know if it will make it into the next version of Storyline.  The more of us that request it, the more of a priority any feature will become.  You can place your feature request here:

Grrrr, do we need to spend hundreds on an upgrade to get this problem sorted? I'd say it's the one single issue with SL1 which really chews into my productivity. It takes forever to manually set this font on each and every slide.

Storyline 2 is now available, but I don't believe the global change or settings for the notes was included as a feature. You can continue to request features here as those go directly to our product development team. 

Agreed.  This is a real grind.  I can cut and past Calibri 12 point into a new slide...and it magically becomes Calibri 9 pt.  And as soon as I backspace to enter new text...it's the default Articulate font again.  If nothing else, 12 point should be the default.

I'm consistently hitting a wall with Storyline in terms of ADA compliance.  Nobody but an eagle-eyed kid can read 9 point type.

If the font is just changing on your slides without any input from you, I'd first want to check that you're working on local project files as described here and if not, you may want to try importing it into a new project to resolve any odd behavior. Additionally, if you're seeing random behavior on all your files, it may also be worth looking at conducting the repair of Storyline.
