Recording Issue
I'm attempting to record a single scene, but the recordings show a screen WITHIN a screen, almost like a visual echo (image attached). What am I doing wrong?
Hi Elizabeth, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes Community! Glad you're here! 🥳
Thanks so much for reaching out! Sorry to hear you ran into this snag.
I have a few questions in order to better understand:
- How many monitors do you currently have set up? Storyline doesn't support multi-monitor recording, but you can record one screen at a time.
- I’m curious to know your steps for recording your screen. Could you please share so I better understand?
One potential solution might be to set the display scaling to 100%:
- Right-click your desktop and select Display settings.
- Take note of the display device number that's selected at the top of the page. The Identify button lets you know the assigned number for each display.
- Under Scale & layout, select 100% from the Scale drop-down list.
- Do the same for other display devices.
(These instructions are for Windows 11. Here is the link to Windows 10 information)
I'd love to take a closer look at your file as well so I can try and replicate this on my end. Feel free to upload your file to this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you! 😊
