Quiz fail function

Hi, I've been looking at some past discussions on how to tell users what to do if they fail a quiz. I've tried to follow this suggestion from an older post https://rise.articulate.com/share/FWiI8LFEeglBqt1rIcMroTnR43Z1H0j5#/

I have set quiz to only allow 3 attempts and an 80% pass mark. The quiz is uploaded from the question bank. When I preview the quiz, and fail it, it doesn't go to the next lesson to advise what to do. It will only go to the next lesson if you pass. I have also turned off 'restrict navigation' as per another suggestion. 

Although we give users instructions prior to taking the quiz as to what to do if they fail, they forget and need something directly after. 

Is there any other setting I can try?
