Previous/Next Master control

Hello folks, I am hoping someone has a solution for me. I would like to set the previous and next buttons to always follow chronological order in slide number, and not the 'last slide' visited. My learners are getting caught in loops if they go back more than one slide. For example, if they use the menu to skip ahead 6 slides, then click previous, they'll go back 6 slides. I would like the previous button to always go to the slide directly before the slide they're on.

I found this article, but I'm trying to avoid having to adjust every trigger on every slide. (https://articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-Previous-Slide-Triggers-Point-to-the-Last-Visited-Slide?_ga=2.35995175.663768759.1697744925-1933175618.1696444026)

Is there a setting that would apply to all slides? Appreciate any ideas / fixes!"
