need help with updating course
Hello,
I had a freelance designer build a course in the storyline, and I don't have the PPT file (neither does she). I need to update the course, but we no longer have Storyline, and I need to use some of the content in the updated course. How do I export the content (is that even possible?) without having to rebuild every slide?

Do you still have the .story file? If yes, you can pass that on to the designer.

I do have the files, but we are no longer using the designer who created the course. I'm now in charge of updating the course and just need to find a simplest way to recreate the course

If you want only the media from the .story file
- rename the .story to .zip
- expand the zip
- all images, audio, videos are in the folder "story/media/"but the files names are changed

What authoring tool are you using to update the course?

Tricia, at the very least, you might consider downloading a trial copy of Storyline, then making the changes that you need and republishing the course output. I believe the trial copy is good for 30 days. The downside, of course, is that (1) it's a very short-term approach and (2) if you are not familiar with Storyline, you may not be successful in making the "small changes" you need without also creating additional problems for yourself.
However, since you have engaged iSpring to make updates, I would suggest deciding on what you (organization/business) want to support going forward, so you will have the ability to make updates in the future as well.
