Importing Translated XLF into Rise module
Hi,
It is still a requirement that an XLF file exported from a Rise module, and the translated has to be reimported back into the same module again in order to work? Just checking, as a translation Vendor has asked for a copy of a module so they can import translated XLF files from a module I created and exported the XLF and I told them that the translated XLF files must be given to me to be reimported back in again, but they are saying it doesn't matter as long as the structure is the same?

I think so, still says so in the instructions

Agreed, as right now there are import issues happening wit hthe vendor on a different project, thankfully I am not involved. Once translations are added to a project it becomes a bit of a nightmare. It was just to clarify for my sanity as the vender kept telling me it does not matter...

The vendor most likely wants to handle the import so they can review how the translations are inserted. Often minor formatting is required to correct for text expansion and other differences between languages.
The best localization workflow available today remains to export/import via XLF.
