I need a simple Job Aid for Publishing a SL360 Course to run in the Safari Browser on an ipad.

I publish now for MS Edge.  All SL360 (HTML) projects run without issue.  I need to publish courses for Safari, but Safari obviously does not like HTML, or at least the SL360 version of it.

I'm not an Apple person, I don't speak Apple speak. I just need a step by step "How to" procedure to publish a course to run on an ipad.

The ipads themselves are locked in their configuration and new software cannot be loaded.

The course will be parked on a server and a hyperlink will be created launch the course (no LMS).

If this is not possible without modifying the ipads themselves, please be specific to include what and why the HW mods are necessary.

Thank you!

      Thank you for replying.

Here is my simple issue. A published SL360 course will not run on an iPad
      (Using Safari).

I have no issues running the course in MS Edge.

Publishing the Course: I normally publish a Story in HTML, then I convert
the Launch File to .ASPX, then put the entire published course in a folder
on SharePoint. Students access the Course in SharePoint. There has been no
problem if using any device with MS Edge.

      What I know.

      1. These are short Micro-lessons (just-in-time) training. Not worthy of
      setting up on an LMS.
      2. The course will launch using MS Edge (from SharePoint).
      3. The course will not launch using Safari (from SharePoint).
      4. Results attempt using .ASPX file in safari.nothing, zero, nada
      happens.
      5. Results attempt using .HTML file in safari.just lines of code
      (Alpha-numeric digits) appear.

I assume Safari does not play well SL360. It can't be done (perhaps if only
from an LMS). No problem, I am just looking for that answer, if true.

I seriously do not want this to be complicated. All I am asking for is a
Step by Step "How to" procedure for how to publish a SL360 that will run in
Safari. The current process for other browsers is no problem.

Perhaps I am asking the wrong question. Is there a unique procedure for
publishing a story to run in Safari? .or is it the same as If I were
      publishing for any other browser.

I sincerely appreciate your following up on my question.

  • what type of server you are using?

    • web server
    • ftp server
    • file server

you need a web - the link should start with "http://" or "https://"

      Not sure.

I think it's File (it is SharePoint), but I am not an IT guy. It is in a
secure network which any user who has a UN/PW can access can access this
      course.

I have other courses that run perfectly in SharePoint (using MS Edge).

      Hopefully this helps.
