Handle xApi statements over a custom website

Hello,

I'm developing a web application (.NET 6) which should manage the various phases of using a course on the page.
Working on Storyline 360, I saw that there are xApi-type triggers for the various actions performed by users. I'm reading all the xApi documentation, but I'm missing the part about communicating with an LRS.
I wanted to understand if it is possible to manage this completely internally in my app or if I have to go through a third party service in order to enable the xApis.
My need would simply be to call the endpoints of my app to be able to save the various user phases on the course. I wanted to understand if using xApi is the right solution or if I have to move differently for my needs.
