graded questions - type in math equation

I am trying to insert some math expressions into the "enter the question" box of a graded question slide. For example, I'd like to type x^5 or x^5/x^2, but I'd like them to appear as they app...

It looks like you have the shuffling answers option selected, so while the radio buttons are moving around, the images are not. I'd recommend switching to None:
