Files missing from LMS folder when publishing to AICC

Hi there,

I recently had to revisit some old files to update (only text) and when publishing to AICC a number of files are missing from the LMS folder, specifically the Configuration.js file.  Where there were 14 files in the LMS folder, there are now only 5. Has anyone experienced this issue?

To follow up, I have found code from the Configuration.js file in the scormdriver.js but what happened to the LMSAPI.js file? I have custom JavaScript in my storyline file that uses the API to communicate to my LMS.

  • Hi there, Scot!

That's a great question, and I'm happy to clarify.

We simplified the HTML5 published output in Storyline 360 builds 3.39.21985.0 and later. We combined the following JavaScript files from older versions of Storyline 360 into a single scormdriver.js file:

    • AICCFunctions.js
    • API.js
    • APIConstants.js
    • Configuration.js
    • lms.js
    • LMSAPI.js
    • NONEFunctions.js
    • SCORM2004Functions.js
    • SCORMFunctions.js
    • UtilityFunctions.js

You can still modify your published output as you did before. You'll find all the same code from the legacy files above in the new scormdriver.js file.

Let us know if any more questions pop up!

Does this apply to the SCORM 1.2 export as well? I noticed fewer files in the LMS folder. Could the new file structure have any impact on our LMS when updating an old training?

  • Hi Suzannah, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

Yes, you should see the consolidated publishing in the latest versions, including LMS publishing using SCORM 1.2.

As long as you were not customizing your LMS upload, you should not see any impact.
