Double spaces between sentences being removed automatically after recent Rise 360 RCE update!

Our team of content developers discovered that the recent update to the rich content editor is replacing double spaces after periods (".  ") with single spaces after periods (". "). After typing two spaces in "Edit" mode in Rise and navigating away, we find that the content did not save as expected and has reverted to a single space.

We use double spaces between sentences in our K-2 elementary curriculum to help early readers visually separate the sentences. We built a policy on double spaces after periods and codified standards. Are we not free to decide whether to use double spaces after periods?

Is this a bug or a "feature"?

Hmm - looks like you now have to add a space and a non-breaking space. (option-space on macos, shift-ctrl-space on windows).
