Chrome Dev Tools Console log warnings

Does anyone know why developer console warnings are generated in the attached example and if they are important or not?

They seem to happen whenever I create a slide that jumps to multiple slides based on the value of a variable.

The warning 'actionManager::executeActions - skip action:' shows in all browser developer console tools even although the file still works.

I have attached the error message and Storyline 360 file.

You can view it in action here: http://inductionmodule.com/jumpissue

Thank you Matthew, for jumping in, I was worried that the storyline code was creating an error.

  • We just had a user have this issue today. This error is preventing them from advancing in the course.

  • Hi Don,

Sorry to hear that you ran into a similar issue. I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:

    • Are you able to replicate the behavior when the course is viewed on a different browser?
    • Did you notice this behavior after updating your Storyline 360 installation
    • Is your course hosted on a web server or LMS?

Additionally, would you be willing to upload a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look at what's happening? We'll delete it as soon as we're done.

  • Joe,

Good morning and Happy Monday! Another member of our team built the course, I was supporting by searching for answers to the issue and came across this. I can answer your questions, and I have messaged him in regards to the file.

    • Yes the same issue occurred in both Edge and Chrome.
    • Yes it was after we fixed a different trigger issue
    • Our course is hosted in our LMS

I have sent this post to the lead designer of this course so he is up to date as well.

  • Joe,

I work with Don and have opened case #03317401 with support.

    Thanks for your help.

    Bryan

  • Hi, Bryan.

Thank you for opening a support case!

Our team will get in touch soon via e-mail. Please reach out through the case if you have additional questions!

  • Looking in the Dev Tools, this error message also pops up when hitting the back button:

    actionManager::executeActions - skip action: NavigationRestrictionPreviousSlide_6KGcIbVWabd

  • Hi Don!

I added your comments to the support case that your colleague Bryan opened with our support team. They'll look at it and respond through the support case if they have any new findings. Thank you!
