Character limit in bulleted lists (ordered and unordered)
Hi can anyone confirm if there is a character limit for bullet points? Screen reader seems to jump to the next item after about 200 characters.
thanks Sandi
Hi Sandi,
Thanks for reaching out!
If you're entering text in a scenario block, the character limit there is 200 characters. Sorting activities have a smaller limit of 80 characters. Also, matching question types are limited to 90 characters because of the shape of the matching choices.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for getting back to me but I specifically need to know if there is a character limit in bulleted list items. Thank you.

Hi Sandi,
I created a Bulleted list and stopped after adding 1000 characters.
You could have done the same test.

Every screen reader behaves somewhat differently. Which one are you using? Is it one of the Rise supported screen readers?
Screen Readers
Learners often use screen readers to experience e-learning courses, so it’s important to note that Rise 360 supports JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack screen readers with our supported browsers.

Hi thanks for getting back to me - I am using VoiceOver in Google Chrome on my iMac. I am in the process of getting a second computer which I will hopefully have JAWS installed, so that I can test multiple screen readers.
Hi Sandi,
The recommended browser for VoiceOver is Safari. This is also the most used combo for VoiceOver, according to the latest WebAIM Survey.
