Change State of Buttons in Branching TOC using Variables

Hello All,  I need your help. I've done a branching TOC where the buttons change state from inactive, to normal, to done using variables before. However, I've forgotten how I did it. I am attachin...

The problem is here:

This variable is changed on another slide. Only the slide that changes a variable can hear that change. This landing page isn't open when the variable changes, so doesn't change the state.

Try changing "when variable changes" to "when timeline on this slide starts"
