Following this thread since a client of ours just noticed this same issue. Published from SL360, launching html5 output from LMS, audio does not play as soon as a slide begins, as it should. You have to go to another slide and come back for audio to play correctly. OR, replay slide.

Sorry that you've had a client run into this as well. Does this mean you are unable to replicate?
We are still testing and investigating, so if you have a .story file we can take a look at, that would certainly be helpful.

I'm going to submit a support case with one of my SL360 source files.
I've just recently had this happen in three separate published courses. All using Storyline 360. When viewed locally, audio plays fine. However, when launching from LMS or directly from a server, the first slide audio either doesn't play at all, or there is a delay. When you re-visit the first slide the audio plays correctly. I've only been able to view the HTML5 version of these courses since I do not have Flash enabled anymore. I have tested in Firefox (latest version), Chrome (latest version), IE 11, and Edge. All browsers except IE11 had the audio problem on the first slide.

Sorry that this is continuing to be a problem for you. We have your issue filed and looks like we have a few examples. If you'd like to share more, I'd encourage you to do so via your support case.

Leslie, is this only happening in Chrome for you? It's happening in all browsers for me. When I preview locally, everything works though.

I have not taken a look at your reported issue since you're working with a support engineer. It appears that your issue has been reported for HTML5, not just a specific browser.

It's neither HTML5 or browser related. It's Storyline 360 related. I am having no issues publishing HTML5 with Storyline 2.
I've reverted to using SL2 again until this issue is resolved.

I am having this issue as well in Google Chrome with SL 360. Any idea when it will get fixed? The audio plays when I reload the slide...

I've noticed this as well lately, with sound effects not playing if you replay a slide.
We've had clients complaining about the audio not working on courses we've delivered to them, and there's nothing we can do to fix them, which isn't making anyone happy :( Here's what one of them said: "While testing the course we did not have any issues on Internet Explorer which was great. On Google Chrome though the course seemed to lag a bit with audio & graphic loading. When I would move around from slide to slide sometimes the audio would start playing then stop within a second and never come back on."
I hope this is a top priority for the Articulate tech team!
