Audio fading in?

I am having the same issues when importing audio to slides. The original audio files are clear with consistent sound, but after inserting, the first word or two fades in. I’d love a solution. I’m trying to increase volume on the first words in every slide as a fix but it’s not very satisfactory.

I'm having some trouble reproducing any audio issues in Storyline 360 (Update 32) during preview and in the published output. A few clarifying questions to help us explore further:

• Can I confirm that you're working on a local hard drive? Working on a shared drive can cause such behavior, so I always like to rule that out as the culprit!
• Do you hear the issue during preview, in the published output, or both?
• How does the audio sound in the published output here?

That's so strange! I do not hear the delay in your published output.  

To answer your questions: 

• I am working on a local hard drive
• I do hear the issue in preview and when published on Review
• I did make sure I update my Storyline to, what I assume, is the newest version

I'm going to try to publish to a different format and see if that works.

I'm noticing the same thing. I used the "record audio" feature so I did not import separate audio files. The first 2 or three words sound faint and almost echo-ey (like I'm in a closet) and then it's fine. I can tell within the slide exactly where each audio file breaks at.

I am having the same issue as above where imported audio files (that I recorded with Adobe Audition) are fading in at the beginning automatically. Did anyone find a solution yet?

Sorry to hear you're hitting this snag! It would be helpful to see the affected file and audio to understand why it fades in.

Would you be willing to share copies of your Storyline and audio files here or privately through a support case so we can look at them? We'll delete them when we're done testing! 

I'm seeing the same issue intermittently as well, both in preview and on Review. It's almost as if there's a transition effect between slides and layers because the audio fades in when it first opens but if I drag the seekbar back once it's started, it sounds fine. It seems like the fade is related to the transition, not the audio file, so my initial testing of moving the audio file 0.5-1.0 second up on the timeline seems to avoid the problem. 

I am having the same issue. All the audios fade in and cut the first or second word.
