Allow learners to click in a non-linear way

We have a software we use at work, where there are tabs that staff can choose out of an order. For example, to enter their date of birth from a calendar they can choose the month, day, and year in any order. I'm not finding where I can allow this to happen in Storyline via a test mode simulation. Is this possible?

This was marked as spam initially and got buried. It's been fixed now and I wanted to try to bump it to see if anyone had any suggestions for me.

  • Hi Tracy,

This sounds like something that can be done using Javascript. We don't support Javascript, but I found a community post where a user shared a date solution in this thread. It is from a few years ago though but I hope this points you in the right direction!

      Hi Jose,

I'm not familiar with Javascript but the rest of the simulation has been completed in Storyline 360.

Here's a screenshot of what I am referring to. You can see that staff need to enter the customer's date of birth using a calendar. They can choose the month, year, or day, first and technically be correct. I didn't want to have to use text boxes that say; "Choose the month", "Choose the day", "Choose the year" in order for the software to count the entry as correct.

This is a simulation in the test mode which is why we can see the green hotspot over the month drop down menu.
