Accessibility: Audio for Labeled Graphic in Rise
Hello Kandice,
Happy to help. I appreciate you for working hard to make your content accessible!
I'm not an accessibility expert, but I know that the key to making audio elements accessible is to give learners text-based alternatives. You are correct that for labeled graphics with audio, one way to add the text-based option is to put it in the marker label. Providing a downloadable transcript is another way to do it.
I'd put the corresponding text on the marker label as it is the simplest and most convenient for the learner. But then again, it depends on your design, as both options will satisfy the accessibility requirements. Let me know if you have additional questions.
Enjoy your weekend ahead, and happy developing. 🙂
Hi!
Thank you so much.
I have another question: with the recent updates, do I still need to add null marks to decorative images in Rise? Or can I just leave them blank?
Thanks again!

Hi Kandice,
If an image is decorative, Rise 360 will treat it as null by default if they are blank. There is no need to add anything to the defaults if you'd like the decorative images to be ignored by your screen reader.
