Zoom Region Woes

Hi Team,

I just finished a project and the zoom regions worked excellently!

I am starting another project using zoom regions, but on this one every object I place on the slide shows in a different spot from where I placed it when I preview. This means I have to constantly move, resize, and preview until the objects show where I want them to. Why might this be happening? This didn't happen with the previous project. How might I resolve this?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Philip,

Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like objects in your zoom regions aren't behaving as expected in your new project.

Did you use a previous project as a starting point and re-use existing zoom regions? I'm hoping Tom's tips helped you in this discussion here, but if you're coming across issues you haven't seen before, share your file with our support team, and they can lend some more insight into the cause!

    Hi Ren,

I'm using a SL3 template I created for previous projects. I did not re-use any zoom regions. I placed new zoom regions in this project. I'll share the case later on.

However, I thought I'd jump on here now because another slide in the same project has a different behavior issue. The zooms are not flowing seamlessly from one to the next. One zooms all the way out then back in into the next one, but they are placed right against each other as I have done in other parts of this same slide and the project. However, this is a singular instance of this issue.

The first issue is on slide 4.1 and the second issue is on slide 5.1.

I tried submitting the file to the support team, but the link you placed here takes me to a 404 error message. Is there another link I can try?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Sorry about that link, Philip. It looks like a rogue 'e' got added on the end.

No worries, I've opened up a support case on your behalf and emailed you a link to upload the file privately.
