zip in a zip

I recently built a course in Rise, and when I published it, it put a zip file in the zip file and I can't upload it to my LMS.  The zip is in a file called assets and it seems to me that it's the template material I used.  Has anyone had this happen before, and if so, how did you fix it or work around it?
