Translations In Rise 360
I am attempting to translate one of my Rise 360 courses into Arabic. I have downloaded the XLF file and transferred the contents into a word doc from notepad. Can I simply replace all English information in the word doc and upload the file as an XML file into Rise or does it need to be transferred into an XLF file? And if so how can I do that?

Hey Daniel,
Did you add <target> tags to hold your translation or did you simply overwrite the English within the <source> tags?
Without the <target> tags, the translation will not work as these are needed to indicate what needs to be translated. What makes it more difficult when 'doing by hand' is that you have to copy everything from the <source> tags such as the HTML code, too. If you don't have the right match, you'll get unpredictable results or reported errors when importing.

My experience is that the instructions on this has to be followed to the letter, or it is likely to fail. Which means it is not advisable to tamper with XLIFF file. Get an XLIFF capable editor.(Make sure agency has the right tools)
You find this under settings.
