Sum of Number Variables

Hello,

I am working in Storyline 360 and I have 10 Number Variables on a slide. How do I create a SUM of all those variables?  I have tried adding a tally but I am not seeing how I can create the sum of it?

  • Check the attached sample.

Tally data entry box is replaced with a text box so you can use a reference to show the sum.

Personally, I am opposed to jumping to the next slide when the timeline ends, without telling the learner that this activity is timed.

  • Thank you for the sample. I do not have the option in my triggers to add, subtract, multiply... Any suggestions?

  • Hi, Robin.

If you choose the trigger Adjust variable, you can click on the word Set, which will give you additional options. Take a look below:

    I hope this helps!

  • Hi, Robin.

Those options will only show up if the variable type is Number (instead of Text, for example).

I also wanted to add a quick note: it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove it by clicking ‘Edit’ below your response. Here’s a quick Peek 360 video if you need help.

  • Thank you Maria,  The options appears after I used the plus symbol + I was able to select "Add". Thanks again
