Storyline: "Resumed saved state" works in Storyline but not when published
I went through a few slides in the link you provided. All of them resumed their saved state when I revisited them. They did not replay the animations.
They even resumed properly after I exited the course and reopened it. Note, however, that a course on the web might reset if a user exits it and then returns. That depends on the user's browser settings. Personally, I'd never rely on someone being able to resume a course where they left off unless it's in an LMS/LRS.

Thanks, Judy! Oddly enough it suddenly started working for me as well... I tried publishing and playing around with my browser so much last night. Not sure why it suddenly decided to show up properly but I guess I'll leave it at that...
That's a good point. With that in mind, any concerns with how much I've used animations (i.e. how long it takes for all the text on certain slides to pop up)? I don't want to irritate users if they have to exit and re-open the course and sit through all the animations again...

I am one of those users who gets irritated if I have to sit through long animations just to see all the text. I didn't go through your entire project. The slides I viewed seemed to have fairly quick entrance animations, so they weren't frustrating to me.
- It's a tricky balance. First, because everyone has their own preferences. Also because people read at different rates. It could be distracting if an object animates on while someone is reading other text. In short: there's no one way to please everyone.
Because this sample has free navigation, anyone returning to it can simply jump to the next slide or another slide if they don't want to wait for the info to play on a given slide.

Ok great. And that makes sense--can't please everyone, but sounds like I've approached it in the best way I can.
Thanks again!
