Storyline becoming legacy software?
Hi!
I've heard in several places now that storyline is soon to be considered a legacy product.
Is there any truth to this? Is focus shifting to Rise?
Best regards
Michael

I haven't heard anything about Storyline 360 becoming a "legacy product." SL gives developers much more control than Rise, so I can't imagine Articulate discontinuing it.

Storyline 3 is another matter. As per the company's info, "Storyline 3 currently receives only core security updates and technical support. All new product innovations will be available exclusively on Articulate 360." So, in essence, that has become a legacy product.

As long as Storyline is 32-bit...it is legacy ;-)
In fact this is the definition of legacy related to software:
adjectiveCOMPUTINGadjective: legacy-
denoting or relating to software or hardware that has been superseded but is difficult to replace because of its wide use."integration with legacy systems has been cited as a problem by over half of respondents"
Well Storyline has not beed superseded yet...at least not by Articulate tools... if you compare the competition... well..
