Storyline Automatically Changing Colors
Hi,
I'm creating an e-learning course in Articulate Storyline, and I need to hide a logo within a video. To do this, I overlay a rectangle with the same background color as the video. However, when I preview the slide, Storyline slightly alters the color, making the rectangle visible. How can I resolve this issue?

this is a browser issue (-> gamma),
https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/colours-don-t-match#reply-875910
e.g. 0x000000 (black)
- 0x000000 -> 0x050001 (Video Chrome)
- 0x000000 -> 0x020100 (Video Firefox)
- Safari not tested
storyline cannot change this
=> it's not possible to cover something in the video seemless with a graphic

I haven't opened the course in the browser yet. But when I preview the slide in the storyline itself, it is changing the color. Also, a black border is coming despite removing the border.
Hello Aditi,
Have you tried using the 'eyedropper' feature when selecting colors to exactly match the color of the rectangle with the background?
If you've already tried this, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can check why the color of the rectangle doesn't match the background? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

Hello Jose,
I have shared the project file by opening a support case.
Looking forward to your response soon.
Hi, Aditi!
I see my teammate, Mcgem, has tested your file and replied in your support case. We'll continue troubleshooting there!

Hi Kelly. Could you please post the solution to this issue here in this thread?
Hi Vimal,
Thanks for reaching out!
I looked into this support case and it appears that the issue was happening in preview mode, but the color didn't change when published to Review 360 or for web distribution.
Have you tried publishing your course yet? If so, how are you trying to publish your course? If you'd like to share your file here or privately in a support case, I'd be happy to take a look! We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.
