Seeking help with the drag-and-drop-game
Dear Articulate Community,
I am currently working on a Storyline project for our neighboring department. It is a small game: Around the map of our eleven training locations in Franconia, eleven "landmarks" are displayed. The learner is supposed to match the landmarks to the correct city - then a layer with more background information about this city will open. If the learner does not correctly match the landmark, the landmark should return to its original position.
So far, I have assigned drag elements to the drop targets, selected drag-and-drop options, and created triggers. Unfortunately, it is not working as intended. In the attached screencast, I show my settings in detail. I am asking for assistance as I am currently stuck.
Thanks to all of you in advance!
Best regards,
Anna Rott

There is a current issue with these settings if you are running Update 88. You can return to an earlier version of the software (Ver 87) until a fix is available.

Today's Update 89 - contains a fix for this issue.
- AnnaRottCommunity MemberThank you very much for your message and the hint! Unfortunately, older versions still don't work for me. I'll wait until version 89 is available to me.
- AnnaRottCommunity MemberI have just performed the update, and indeed, the landmarks seem to return to their starting point a bit more reliably. However, they still jump to completely different places at times. And I can't get them to stay in the right spot. What could be causing this?

Can you share the slide?

Hi, Anna!
Ron is correct, it'd be helpful to see your file if you still need assistance. You can also privately share it with our team in a support case if you prefer.

So to be able to troubleshoot, we would need to see the source files (".Story" file). The attachment was of the published output, which does not contain the source files.
- AnnaRottCommunity MemberHello! I'm not sure which file you're referring to; I can't find one with the .story extension. What does it look like? Thanks for your help! Regards, Anna

It’s the file you open with Storyline to work on it.
Choose to Save As…, and SL will open a dialog that will show you the title of the file, and its current location. Attach that file.
